One simple reason sales will never go full AI

there is a lot of worry about technology taking over the jobs period. That has been the case since the automobile and cotton gin.

More recently, automation and AI have played the major terroristic threats to our psyche.

I am here to tell you that there is a one really really good reason why AI will never take over sales….

in a few words. the absolute pressure of 100% total accountability.

A buyer only wants to take full accountability for their decision when the outcome is good, but what if the outcome is bad?

They want…neh need…plausible deniability.

Not only a socio-political level, but that need runs deeper. You need to know that there is someone you can call, someone you can yell at, someone you can hold accountable.

If there was another human involved, there is plenty of reason to think that they could have misled you distracted you, or even lied. That takes the pressure off the buyer to make the right decision.

You can't blame a robot when you screw up can you?

Think about how many times you’re on the phone with a large corporation, say Xfinity, AT&T, or wells Fargo, how often do you go through the entire menu only to realize their categories aren't what you want or need, and you just press 0 or start telling ‘operator’ or ‘help’.

You need somewhere to deposit that frustrated energy and some voice trained AI is not a sympathetic ear.

People need an ‘out’, even mentally for themselves, if not for others.

I know I do.
